Radio stations flipped over the Detroit Rock City single and played the song on the flip side. A song called Beth. A ballad about a woman wanting her man home with her, but he is busy trying to make music with his band.

This song can mean different things to people from all walks of life. For some, they may spend their time on the road working and only make it home on the weekends or maybe once a month. The women in their lives are left at home alone or with their kids, raising them alone. She just wants to be wanted and needed by him, not just as a person who sits at home waiting.

Many families are in the same situation. I know, as my father spent his life on the road, and then later on, I would as well, as would my brother.

It is hard on a family when you are gone a lot. This is when you find out if your relationship is strong enough to survive.
